Two wonderful sites to learn about Coat of Arms: Coats of Arms From Ireland And Around The World by Eddie Geoghegan. He has many illustrations and of course other surnames as well. Also J. M. Elliott's site Designs Of Wonder which goes into more details for the designs which includes the crest & helm. She has over 2,500 coats of arms from all over the world and other interesting facts.

As most of you probably know, a Coat of Arms does NOT belong to any and everyone that has the surname. Only the original grantor was allowed to use it. When that person died, so did the right to use the Arms. Other family members Arms would have some sort of variation, even the son's from the father's. But it remains interesting to look at the various Arms regardless if one can claim them or not.
