Hello, I have some information that pertains to the VANTREASE family back in the 1800s. Apparently, I am also a descendent of Jackson VANTREASE, born in 1808, from Jacob and Catherine VANTREASE. He would be my g-g-g-grandfather. Jackson VANTREASE apparently had relations with one of his slaves as he was married to either Sophronia PRITCHETT or Frances Jane NEAL, and the product of that union would be Harriet VANTREASE. She is my g-g-g-grandmother. She then had a child by the name of Shelie VANTREASE, who is my g-g-grandfather. Shelie and his wife, not sure of her name, had a son named Edgar VANTREASE, which is my g-grandfather. Edgar and Hattie, my g-grandparents had my grandfather, William VANTREASE. My father is Ernest VANTREASE, and there it is. I am not sure if this information has been told to anyone, but this is true information. We have a picture of Harriet VANTREASE and Shelie at home. She was born around 1850-1870. I am still trying to get that exact information at this time. Please share this information. I appreciate it. --Tanya Nelson
