Lucy Ellen Dowdy was born 1882 in Hickman County KY the daughter of Thomas F. and Lydia Beard Dowdy. Thomas & Lydia died ca 1887 and Lucy lived with Joseph Dowdy (and his wife, Sallie Nell Pace) who supposedly was her uncle. In the 1930 census, Joseph Dowdy was living with Lucy and her husband, Dyke Martin in East Prairie, MO. Any info on the parents of Joseph and Thomas F. Dowdy will be greatly appreciated. By the way, this Joseph W. Dowdy is not the son of John & Mary Linder Dowdy. Their Joseph W. lived in the Shannon County MO area most of his life.

He is related to the Dowdy's thru Rachel Dowdy (wife of Joseph Newton Beasley & daughter of Armstead Lilly Dowdy/Martha Riddle). I was wondering if anyone could send me pictures from that line.
