Comments: Isabelle J.MCCLELLAN b. March, 1856 d. 1910 Bartow Co. GA m. 1873 to William Henry JONES b. December, 1848 S.C. Isabelle McClellan's mother was a THOMAS. The Joneses came from Laurens County, SC to Polk/Paulding/Bartow Counties prior to the Civil War. Have no history of the McClellans. Isabelle had a brother, John and a sister Nannie, who married a SMITH. Some of the McClellans may have gone to Cleburne, Johnson Co. TX about 1890. Can anyone connect these McClellans to yours?

Comments: McCLELLAND I am interested in corresponding with anyone who has information on the McCLELLAND family from Paris (Henry County), Tennessee. My gg-grandfather was RICHARD MCCLELLAND, he was married to Sallie RUTLEDGE. Although Richard and his family were listed as Mulatto on most censuses, a picture of him reveals that he looked Caucasian. Their children were Luther (Nov, 1859), Ella (1862), Fanny (1864), James Witt (my g-grandfather, born Dec, 20, 1867), Josie (1869), Nanny (1871), Flora (1874), Mary (1876), Minnie (1878), Flora (Mar, 1876), Warn (Aug, 1879), John (May, 1881), Lula (1884), Alice (Nov, 1887) and Clatie (Jan, 1889).

Comments: I think your page is GREAT!! I am doing research on the McClellan name and I'm not getting very far. I am looking for information on a Joseph McClellan from MO, he left his family when he was young because he could not get along with his Step-Mother. His wifes first name was Susie, not sure on the last name. Their children were John Lawrence (my Great Grandfather), an infant that died, Ada, Myrtle Emilia, and Eda. If any of these names match please let me know, I'm at a dead end. Shera Dawn McClellan

Comments: Madeline & I think your homepage is just great. We are pleased to sign your Guestbook and hope that you just keep on adding to it and improving it as you learn more family information. We were glad to see McClellan among the surnames you listed and will look forward to seeing the addition of Burleson
